Itinerary
Day 1: On this tour to Amantani, Uros and Taquile islands, the passengers will be picked up from hotels in downtown and transported to the port where we will take our comfortable motor boat and meet our guide (Spanish / English) that will take us to the Uros floating islands (30 min travel time), before reaching Amantani (approx. 2 ½ hours) by approximately mid-day, where the families of Amantani will wait for us. We will walk 30 minutes uphill to the local houses in Amantani Island and then have lunch based on Andean food provided by the islanders. You will have time for resting and settle in the rooms. Then we will continue with a walk to the top of the island to see the ceremonial Inca temples Pachamama and Pachatata and to see one of the best sunsets in the world. We will then return to the local houses for dinner and at night we will go dancing with the families (the party is optional).
Day 2: After our breakfast, we descend to the port of Amantani (8am) to take our boat towards Taquile island. Lunch will be provided in this island and then we will return to the Port of Amantani at 1:00pm. The arrival time in Puno will be arround 4:00pm.
